Instructor Highlight – Michael Garcia

Student Member Spotlight – Tracy Lech

     At Vocademy, people learn to do what they love.  This week we are highlighting Tracy Lech.  Tracy Lech comes to Vocademy often. She’s been coming for a few years now.  You will usually find her in the Sewing Room. She is a Librarian at Loma Vista Middle School and comes to unwind while creating works of art for her family and her students.      Tracy started at Vocademy by taking all of the Sewing classes from Kat and Peach. Vocademy Hosts Hands-On Training for Bourns STEM PULL Day

On Thursday, July 19, 2018, Vocademy hosted dozens of young students from several local high schools for a full day hands-on learning. This amazing event was made possible by Riverside Unified School District (RUSD) and the Bourns sponsored PULL (Public Utilities Learning Lab) program. These students chose from the following topics: Electronics Soldering Foam Props Sewing CAD Woodshop Welding Laser Cutting 3D Printing For many of these students, it was the first time they’ve ever had the opportunity to create something with their own hands.  Several of them expressed how much fun and transformational it was. Instructor Highlight – Katherine Panowicz

Introducing Kat Panowicz, one of Vocademy’s female instructors.  Kat is a true Renaissance woman, not only does she actually re-enact the Renaissance period in local Ren faires, but she is a woman of many talents.
