$20 (+ tax) materials fee. This class teaches how to use one of the most popular costume & prop making materials. Students will learn to shape and manipulate Worbla into a unique piece of medieval body armor. Students will get a good understanding of how it works, forming techniques, and Worbla pros and cons. This thermoplastic material can be formed into thousands of shapes. A Make & Take class. THIS CLASS GIVES MEMBERS ACCESS TO: Work on Worbla using the tools covered in this class.
$20 (+ tax) materials fee. In this class, students use an existing item (superhero badge made of acrylic) and are taught how to make a one sided silicone box mold. Students will then learn how to prepare the mold and create a resin copy of the badge. This class will teach all of the steps required for molding, mold prepping, casting, safety, and more. A Make & Take class. THIS CLASS GIVES MEMBERS ACCESS TO: Work on molding and casting using the tools covered in this class.
$30 (+ tax) materials fee. In this class students will learn 2 sided molding, which is the next level in molding and casting knowledge. We will cover basic techniques, professional tips, and everything else needed in order to create the mold and cast of a multi-sided object. This class will also cover some of the basic steps from the previous class (molding, mold prep, casting, safety, etc.) Class 10-205 Pre-Req. A Make & Take class.
$20 (+ tax) materials fee. This class will teach the basic fundamentals of using an industrial vacuformer (vacuum forming/thermoforming machine). Students will learn how to operate the machine controls, components, materials, safety, prep work, loading thermoplastics, and working with a buck/mold. Techniques discussed in this class will also include some basics on sculpting and other methods of creating the vacuforming buck. A Make & Take class.
