$20 (+ tax) materials fee. In this class you will learn the fundamentals of MIG (aka, Metal-Inert-Gas or gas metal arc) welding. This class will be hands on, using our state-of-the-art MIG machines and you will spend at least 2 hours practicing welding. All welding and safety gear is supplied. Proper welding attire is mandatory: long pants, leather boots/shoes, long sleeved cotton shirts, hair tied back and/or covered, and no jewelry. Students will take home their first welded piece. A Make & Take Class. THIS CLASS GIVES MEMBERS ACCESS TO: Use the MIG welding machines for basic operations covered in this class.

$20 (+ tax) materials fee. This class will expand further into MIG and fabrication basics by providing a working knowledge of cutting, prepping, and welding of angle iron and other common shapes. We cover use of chop saws, angle grinders, removing "scale", difficulties of cutting angles, and more. Students will learn multiple techniques that can be easily transferred to many different projects. Students will use their new skills to create a welded campfire grill. Class 14-105 Pre-Req. A Make & Take class. THIS CLASS GIVES MEMBERS ACCESS TO: Chop saws, angle grinders, and other tools covered in this class.

$20 (+ tax) materials fee. This class teaches the basics of sheetmetal fabrication with welding techniques. Students will obtain a working knowledge of cutting, shaping, and bending (thin steel) sheetmetal. Students will also learn how to manipulate thin sheetmetal and how to weld thin sheets to thicker steel shapes. These techniques can be used for many applications such as: cars, motorcycles, artwork and much more. Students will create a welded sheetmetal sample to take home. Class 14-115 Pre-req. A Make & Take class. THIS CLASS GIVES MEMBERS ACCESS TO: Stomp shear, tin snips and other tools covered in this class.

$20 (+ tax) materials fee. This class covers the most common raw materials used in welding/fabrication and the necessary math and measuring tools needed to create accurate work. This class will also explain which common steels and aluminum alloys are used and why, material sources, identifying and choosing materials, and design considerations. Students will also learn the most commonly available material shapes, sizes, and how to measure parts and assemblies accurately. Class 14-150 Pre-req. A Make & Take class. THIS CLASS GIVES MEMBERS ACCESS TO: Stomp shear, corner notcher and other tools covered in this class.

$20 (+ tax) materials fee. In order to fabricate identical, accurate, and interchangeable parts, custom jigs and fixtures need to be created. In this class, students will learn the basic designs, techniques, and calculations for creating (wood and metal) jigs/fixtures to help with fabricating multiple parts and assemblies. Planning is critical to the success of any project and will also be covered in this class. Class 14-150 Pre-req. A Make & Take class. THIS CLASS GIVES MEMBERS ACCESS TO: Chop saws, angle grinders, tube bender, and other tools covered in this class.

$25 (+ tax) materials fee. Tabs, brackets, and using the correct hardware is critical to all multi-component fabrication projects. They are needed to assure components and parts stay attached to each other where welding is not necessary, not desired, or not possible. In this class, students will learn the many uses and basic designs of tabs and brackets. In addition, the use and sizes of basic hardware (nuts, bolts, and other fasteners) will be covered in detail. Class 14-150 Pre-req. 14-130 is highly recommended. A Make & Take class. THIS CLASS GIVES MEMBERS ACCESS TO: Band saw, drill press, and other tools covered in this class.

$35 (+ tax) materials fee. This class covers the creation, understanding and use of basic drawings (blueprints) needed to create a successful welded and/or fabricated projects. Students will learn the differences between welded joints, which works best for certain applications, and more. Basic welding symbols are necessary to relay the specific details of each weld in a project and will also be covered in this class. Class 14-150 Pre-req. 14-135 is highly recommended. A Make & Take class. THIS CLASS GIVES MEMBERS ACCESS TO: Chop saws, angle grinders, and other tools covered in this class.

$37 (+ tax) materials fee. This class covers tube fabrication basics by providing a working knowledge of cutting, bending, notching, and welding of round tubing. Specific focus is placed on manual notching (aka, fishmouthing) of tubing, and simple bends on an air/hydraulic tubing bender. Students will learn multiple tube fabrication techniques that can be easily transferred to many different projects. Students will use their new skills to create a welded tubular ladder structure. Class 14-120 Pre-Req. A Make & Take class. THIS CLASS GIVES MEMBERS ACCESS TO: Tube bender, tubing notcher and other tools covered in this class.

$20 (+ tax) materials fee. This class teaches the basics of sheetmetal fabrication without the use of welding or brazing. Students will obtain a working knowledge of cutting, riveting, and bending (aluminum) sheetmetal. Students will learn how to manipulate thin sheetmetal into different shapes and to precise tolerances. These techniques can be applied to all thin metals. Students will create their own riveted sheetmetal box and lid. A Make & Take class. THIS CLASS GIVES MEMBERS ACCESS TO: Stomp Shear, tin snips, power drills, and other tools covered in this class.

$37 ( tax) materials fee. This class allows students to review previous class projects while expanding their practice within MIG welding/fabrication. Students can either complete previous projects that they have made or troubleshoot improvements for their over all structure/functionality. This class has an emphasis on continuous practice and creative thinking. Class 14-150 Pre-req. A Make & Take class. THIS CLASS GIVES MEMBERS ACCESS TO : All tools covered in this class.
